(FROM OUR OWN CORREPrONIVEXT) Bulls, July 7. Mrs Flowers, wife of Mr Thomas Flowers, of the flour mills, Balls, died yesterday from typhoid fever, after a short illness. Mr Flowers and one of the children are also prostrated by the same disease. Much sympathy is felt for the bereaved family. Mr Geo Dodson. Mrs Flowers' father, from Blenheim, arrived on Thursday. . It is proposed to convey the corpse tor burial to the family vault at Bleuiieim. Messrs Cash and Esam, of Marton, have taken those premises lately in the occupation of Mr C. L. Maclean, and are having the same repainted and done up. Mr Charles W. Maclean has been appointed their local manager: The Rev. Mr Dodwell has taken the house lately occupied, by Mr C L. Maclean. The contract for widening and forming footpaths in Bridge street have been satisfactorily completed. Mr John Stevens has purchased the remaining portions of the old hospital and will have the same moved up and rebuilt in the rear of the Bank of New Zealand for his offices. The vestry of St. Andrews have every prospect of getting a surnliced choir ; 8 boys have sent in their names and it is thought the other four will be forthcoming. _ ==— _^__„_ = .„„
