. « Special to " Star." reuter's telegrams. London, June 23. Negotiations between the British and the French Goverments as to the conditions upon which the proposed Kgyptian Conference is to be held have concluded on satisfactory terms. It is agreed between the two countries that France shall never scud troops without the consent of the English Government, and their policy in Egypt is daily becoming more intense. In the House of Commons the supporters of the Government are diminishing but it is probable that the Opposition will remain quiet until after the Conference on Egyptian affairs has been concluded. Paris, July 5. The latest accounts to hand from Toulon and Marseilles state that the epidemic of cholera is increasing in tho-e towns. The precautious taken to prevent the spread having been futile. Received, July 8, 0.59 a.m. London. July 7. The following are the names of the team selected to represent All England in the match on Thursday next against the Australian Cricketers: — W. G. Grace, Lord Harris, Hornby, Steele, O'Brien, Barnes, Briggs, Crossland, Peat, Pulling and Ulyett. The steamship British King arrived from Lyttelton to-day. One death occurred on the voyage. Medical experts have declared that the disease at Marseilles is true. Asiatic cholera. Cairo, July 2. News has been received here to the effect that the Arab rebels attacked Debbah on the Ist inst. The garrison resisted the assault and repulsed the enemy. Heavy losses occuired on both sides.
