AT a large and enthusiastic meeting of Mr Donald Fraser's supporters, held last evening in the Committee Room (Mr F. Mowlem's office), Mr Alex. Eerguson in the chair, it was proposed by Mr Jas. King, and seconded by Mr J. 0. Batchelor, " That in order to refute the statement made by interested parties to the effect that Mr Donald Fraser's eupporters intended to request him to withdraw from the forthcoming contest, this meeting considers it necessary to record a vote of confidence in Mr Fraser, which is considered a pledge to vote for him and use every effort to secure his return."
