MESSRS NOLAN, TONKS. AND CO.'s MONTHLY REPOET. Cattle.— At Hawera on the 12th instant 240 head were sold. Weaners, 16§ 6d to 19s ; yearling speyed heifers, 275 ; store cows, 355; 2>year-old steers, L 3 9s ; fat cows, L 3 15s ; dairy cows, L 4 to L 6 ss. At Manaia 19 hrad were sold : 2\ to B-year-old steers, L 4 2s 6d ; yearlings, 90m. At Opnnake 268 head were sold : Weanera and yearlings, 22s to 265 ; itore cows, 39s to 425 ; forward heifers, L 2 16s ; 2 to 2i-year-otd steers, L 3 16s; forward bullocks. £5 16*. Sheep.— 9oo he&d have changed hands through the different yards during the month. Most of the vendors prefer holding for increased values. We quote ewes in lamb, 6s 3d to 8s ; forward dry ewes, 7s 6d ; lambs in wool, 6s 3d te 6s 9d^
