Chbtb t chubch. —The N Z.L. and M.A. Company report:— Butter— The reaction in the Sydney market, reported in our last issue, has been responded to locally »>y a decline in rates, which now rule at lOd for mild, in Australian tubs, and 8d to 9d for ordinary, packed in kegs. Potatoes—A steady business has been passing in this line at 27s 6d; delivery at country stations within a radius of 12 miles; bags extra. Hay— But for the scarcity of tonnage, large business would result in this article, as. the crop has turned out well, both in regard to quality and condition, and moderate rates are asked. We have placed several parcels £3 10s to £3 16s f.o.b. Auckland. — Buter — The large exports to Sydney and Brisbane have left this market in short supply, consequently the rate ruling last month, viz., 8d f.0.b., is well maintained.
