Dynamite Explosion at Hokitika

On Saturday afternoon a man named iiouis Jean, employed by. the contractor or removing piles on the wharf, was the ' ietim of an explosion of dynami'e. He ras ramming dynamite into a tub when t exploded, shattering both his legs. Ie wan removed to the hospital, where ie died two hours after the accident.
