The Age bas received a telegram from its special correspondent, despatched from New Guinea, reporting his return to Thursday Island, north of Queensland. The telegram states that the advance of the expedition was stopped by 1,200 natives, but that full y 600 miles into the interior of New Guinea were traversed. One of the party is missing.
