MONDAY NIGHT'S MEETING.
The adjourned meeting was held in the Public Hall last night. Mr Thomas Sexton was voted to the chair, and in a few well-chosen words asked thte meeting to give Mr Burr a fair hearing. Mr Buir went over much the same ground as on the previous evening. He was frequently interrupted by the larrikins, who had assembled in force with the evident intention of interrupting the meeting, and the solution of continuity in his speech was of frequent occurrence. When he mentioned the Parihaka campaign, three cheers were, called' for the Parihaka Vet-was, whjeh were given with the wildest enthusiasm. At about this period flour balls began to fly abont, and the meeting because rather mixed, as Mr Burr came down from the stage to remonstrate with the leaders of the larrikins. Mr Burr : again made an iittempt to continue his address, but ultimately he saw. the inutiMty of the task. A Vote of thanks was passed, and, with the customary compliment to the Chairman, the electors " retired |o their tents.**
