Manchester Road Board

An ordinary monthly meeting of this Board was held at its office in Manchester street on Saturday afternoon. Present — Messrs Maearthur ( hairman), Bailey, Leth bridge. Linton and Cotter. The minutes of the previous ordinary meeting were read and confirmed. The Chairman reported that he had heard from the Colonial Secretary re the gazetting of the Suspension Act, and that the matter was in progress. A leiter from Mr Jones apologising absence on account of sickness was read. At this stage the Chairman said it occurred to him that this being the first meeting of lh<? m-w Board it would be necessary to elect a Chiirman. [Left Sitting.]
