The N.Z.L. and M.A. Company report \ under date of May 22nd. 1884 :— Chbistchubch — Butter. — Shortly after j the date of our last report some heavy I transactions were put through in t-.is , article at extreme prices. .Recent advices from Sydney reporting a collapse in the market there have produced a reaction, ' and we cannot now quote over lOd per lb for prime in kegs, and lld in tubsCheese — Stocks have been kept within . a reasonable compass by continued shipments to London, the market readily responded to a slight upward movement in Sydney, and purchases cannot now be effected under 5d per lb f.o.b. packed. Potatoes. — This market opened about a month ago at 30s to 32s 6d. Rates have dropped to 27s 6d.
