The N.Z.L. and M.A. Company report under date, of May 22nd. 1881 :— Chbistcuoi-cit— Tallow and Fat.- The market has been ft .11 supplied with medium quality tal'ovr and rough fat, which have been readily taken by local boilers at a decline of 2s to 3s per cwt on former ratas. Wellington- — Tallow and Fat. — Consequent upon recent advices from London, values are somewhat lower, but no difficulty is experienced in readily placing all parcels coming to hand at from 23s to 29s for medium to fair quality. Auckland — Grass Seeds.- -Good business has been doing in both ryegrass and cocksfoot during the month, at full quotations. We quote ryegrass 4s to 4s 3d per bushel, and cocksfoot at 4d per lb. Gisborne — Gra -s Seeds. — The demand at present is limitett, and prices without much alteration. Byegrass, 3s 9d to 4s 6d ; cocksfoot, 4d to 4-£ d. Ni-:w Plymouth — Grass Seeds. — The stocks of cocksfoot seed held here are light. Our quotation is 4d per lb f.o.b.
