The Inspector of Nuisances
TO *HB EDITOB OP THE STAB. Bib, — Through the medium of your paper I wish to acknowledge receipt of the letter signed by the gentlemen burgesses, calling my attention to tho nuisance so frequently occurring on the premises of Cr Rutherford when he is tallow boiling. I am quite aware of the sickly and unwholesome Bmcll, and know it is contrary to law, while it is also iajttrioai to the public health. I also know it is done one or two nights in the Week as well as yourselves. I hare reported the subject to the Council, but the (Councillors hare not supported me in doing my duty by endeavouring to hare the nuisance removed. It appears to me to be useless my making any further report if the Council choses to ignore my former oae. I have, and will continue to do my duty without fear and favor.— l am, Ac, J. H Blackmobb, Inspector of .N usances. Feildiag May 10, 1884.
