Fire in Dunedin

[PBB UNITED PBEBS ASSOCIATION.] Dunkdin, " his Day. Three wooden shops in Gorge-street were burned down early yesterday. They were occupied by Thos. Scott (fruiterer), Alexander and Shepherd (butchers), and David Miller (grocer). . Scott's stock was insured in the Equitable for £100 ; Shepherd's for £250 in the London and Lancashire; Miller's for £600 in the Hamburg and Magdeburg. The latter sustained partial loss. The buildings were insured by the owner (Mr James Galbraith, of London) in the London and Lancashire for L6OO. The fire is supposed to have., been caused by a spark from an open fireplace in Scott's shop.
