AN INFAMOUS MOCKERY.
(Continued.) (advebtisement.) Men in that condition of stupidity and helplessness into which they are landed by strong drink become objects of contempt and ridicule. They frequently exhibit their degradation and drunken folly in the most public places, drawing arbund them the curious and idle crowd, to feast the vitiated eyes and ears of those forming it on their obscene gestures and sayings. What a poor mean lifeless thing intoxicating drink is !
