Bulls Coursing Club Meeting

♦ Most of those who witnessed the coursing on Mr J. G. Wilson's property on Thursday made an early start from Bulls. Tho attendance was not nearly so numerous as on former occasions ; most likely the two shillings and sixpence admission to the ground kept a good many away. However those who were present enjoyed a fair days' sport. The following is the result of the coursing : — Fibst Bound. 1. M r J. Gomez's Sergeant Hildreth beat Mr T. E. Taylor's Hotspur. 2. Mr J. T. Dalrymple's Blue Boy beat Mr Hunt's Leonora. 3. Mr W. Fergusson 's Lion beat Mr J. M. Brouyhton's Piufire. 4. Mr Hunt's Lilla beat Mr Dalziell's Warcry. 5. Mr W. Fegusson's Philistine ran a bye. Second Bound. 1. Blue Boy boat Sergt. HUdreth 2. Lion beat Philistine 3. Lilla ran a bye. Thibd Round. 1. Lion ran a bye 2. Blue Boy and Lilla in the slips. As the day was then drawing to a close, the coursing was adjourned till Friday. The winner of this course will run with Lion for the deciding course. Blue Boy, Lilla, and Lion are the three left in, and in any case Lion must be the runner-up, if not the winner. — * dvocate.
