Dentistry

Dr Sinclair, the renowned Australian dentist, arrived in town last evening, and commenced practice this morning in the premises next to Mr Higgin's in Fergusson street, where a good number of patients awaited him, and many more have paid him a visit during Hie day. The doctor has a vast quantity of dental implements of various descriptions, all of which we have bad the pleasure of inspecting. Some idea of the number and variety may be imngined when we mention that in forceps alone there are 250 different ones, and about as many drills of various sizes, while of teeth the doctor has about 150,000 with him to , select from. For cleaning, drilling, and ' stopping purposes he has a very ingeniously contrived treadle engine, which appears to be a vast improvement on the old fashioned mode of dental operations. The composition used by Dr Sinclair for setting teeth is an invention of his own, the material bring positively unbreakable as was proved to ns by the doctor standing and bearing all his weight on an artificial palate. It is impossible for us to give in a few words a full description of Ihe many advantages of Dr Sinclair's methods, and we would recommend every one who requires dental assistance to pay him a visit ere he leaves Feilding, which he will positively do on Saturday next.
