I They do things pretty brisk in California, as the following pleasant little incident clearly shows :— San Juan. Navada, stage robbed at 6 a.m. of £3000, reward wa*. offered al 7 a.m., robbers shot dead and all the money recovered at 2 p.m., coroner's inquest al 3 p.m.. funeral <>f the thieves at 6 p.m., testimoual snd banquet to captors at 8, and the chairman and three guests locked up dead drunk at midnight. That's pretty good for San Juan, Navada.
