Attempted Suicide
(PEB UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Acckland, This Day. Catherine Crawford Macfarlane, a single woman, attempted to commit suicide to-day by jumping into the sea from the railway wharf. Mr Pollock rescued her, but she tried to get back into the river. She was apparently suffering from the after effects of drink.
