Auckland. — Sales have now almost ceased, and small parcels only are coming forward, so that quotations are no longer reliable for positive market values. Prices hare declined slightly since last report and can be stated at s£d to 6d p*r 1b foi long wool in grease, and 7d to 7|d for washed.' ' ■■'••""■- '" Wellington. — At bur sales, on the 12th inst., we submitted a fairly representative catalogue, and placed a considerable portion. of, the lots at prices about on a level with those ruling last month. ] Napier.— One auction sale has been hdd during the month, at which 132 bales and a few pockets were offered. There was a cjood attendance of buyers, and competition was active. A few lots Were passed in, but found buyers immediately after the Bale. Eufchers's prime skins and Factory skins make 2k to 2s -9d for cross- breds, id.ls 8d to / 2s«<2d for. Merintwi ■'• ; v Wellington; — The quality offering this 'month Was somewhat coarse and rough. Prices ranged from 4d t<: 4fd per Ib. Napier. — Ihe following prices have b«en realised daring the month : — Merino
3fd to o£d, and crossbreds, 3d to 4|d per lb. TALLOW AND FAT. Ohristchurc i. — Notwithstanding the decline in rates at Home, pricps have been well sustained, except for rough fat, which has declined Jd to \d per lb. [ Wellington. — We have sold some parcels of fair quality, mixed, and medium mutton, at from £27 to £32 per ton ; i rough fat, at 2|d per lb. Wanganui. — The Market continues active, and our quotations are fully maintained. HOPS. Nelson. — Picking has commenced during the past week in a few gardens, but will not be general for some little time. It is now nearly certain that the yield will be less than even our worst fears predicted, probably not more than half of last year's. On the other hand, the quality generally will be quite up to last season's. The market is expected to open at lOd to Is.
