The latest telegrams from Soiiakim announce that all the British troops hare now returned to that place, and three regiments hare already embarked- for England. A number of Arab sheikhs have arrived at Souakim, and others are constantly coming there, professing friendship to* wards the Brif ish,and declaring that they hare no sympathy with El- Mahdi.
Received April 1, 0-25 a.m. , <, _ jJaibq, March 30. Telegrams from Soudan state that Gordon Pasha made a sortie freoi Khartoum on the 16th instant, at the head of a strong force of Egyptian tro»ps. Tho latter proved perfectly untrustworthy and fled at the nrst charge of the Arab cavalry, 200 being killed. ; ' ;. , ; ; (
