Special to " Star-" BKPTKK'S TELEGBAMB. ' Kecieved March 27, 0.45 a.m. London, March 25. The homeward mails via Suez and Brindisi from Melbourne Feb. 14 were delivered here to-day. San Fbancisco, March 24. The steamship Zealandia with the homeward mails, dated Auckland March 4th, arrived yesterday. New Yobk, March 25. News have been received here that the Missouri (query Mississipi) has over flowed its banks, and that immense tract of country near New Orleans is submerged. It is fcired that many persons have been drowned.
London, March 25. The Electoral Eeforra Bill was under consideration, on the motion for the second reading, in the House of Commons last night. Lord John Manners introduced the amendment, of which he gave notice on the 4th instant, setting forth that the proposed reform was unacceptable without a bill for redistribution of seats. A debate was commenced on the motion, and lasted throughout the sitting. The House is expected to divide on the amendment early next week.
