Feilding R.M. Court.

Monday, March 17. (Before F. Y. Lethbridge, and H. L. Sherwill, Esqs., J.Pds. Mrs Theresa Stake applied for a protection order against her husband, W. S. Str'.ito. On the application of Mrs Stake this case was adjourned till to-morrow, at 10 am.

The Hench then adjourned to the police barracks, to enquire into a charge of lunacy imainst Ed ward. Keen,, a native of, Ireland. It appeared that Keen was arrested at Awahuri, on Sunday, where he had been very violent; so much so, indeed, that Constable Price required the assistance of four men to secure the madman. It was shown that he had *>een confined on; three .separate occasions' as. a lunatic suffering from religious mania. The evidence of Drs Johnston and Lightbourne was taken, and Keen was com milled to (he asylum nt Wellington.
