Annual Report of Presbyterian Church, Feilding
The retiring committee have pleasure in presenting the annual statement, from which it will be round that the finances of tlie church are on a satisfactory basis, and that a credit balance is carried forward to. the current year. Contributions and Sabbath collections, as compared with the previous year, show an increase of £10 18s 7<l, each contributor now paying an average somewhat exceeding £3 per annum. Owing to the limited number of subscribers, the committee would remind collectors and members that they cannot hope to sustain the management fund upon its preseut sound footing without continued energy. The building fund has a credit balance of £3 6s 7d. As there are no liabilities, and but a very small expenditure for repairs, Ac, it is hoped this may form the nucleus for manse building, and that a comfortable residence may be provided at a date not far distant. The choir renders excellent music, and \ its value is much appreciated. It has improved in number and efficiency during the year, special commendation being due to the ortcaoist and choirmaster. The lecture given on the first Sunday of each month continues to attract a number of hearers of every denomination, and is a source of much interest. The commit toe at Halcombe are pushing rigorously forward, and have already alioat £80 in h.-.nd town ids building a church, when "it ia hoped tiie cxtrn norommndrilioii and comfort aff.ii-.led will materially increase the attendance.
