Captain Oliver; of the Kororiui, from "Westport, reports that yesterday morning, when off Farewell Spi?, ; 'three of the erew'were engaged cleaning the outside of a lifeboat. They were standing on a gangway, rigged up for the purpose when one of the ropesbrdk", tilting the gang way up, and precipitating the men into the 3ea. . A. boat was lowered and life bouts were thrown and the steamer put astern, but before the boat reached' them two of the men had disappeared.
