The rev. gentleman preached eloquent sermons in both place* and -was -listened to with rapt attention throughout. The musical portion* of the services were excellent. will use their best endeavors to obtain Mr Maclean's eloquent services oftener. Our sportsmen are troubled about the Manawatu shooting season not having been gazetted . There is also some doubt as to the power of the Waoganui Society to issue licenses in the Manawatu as advertised. I Our Horticultural Show, to be held on j Tuesday, the 18th, promises to be a big success, consequent upon the Marton j Society having decided not to hold their autumn exhibition. I would strongly j urge horticulturists and florists in Feild- : ing to send over exhibits which will hare ; every care taken of them.
