Flyin* Handicap, of 115 soys. — Hinemoa 1, Consul 2, Tim Whiffier 3. Maiden Hurdle Race, of 30 soys. — Exchange 1, Denbieh 2, Kelpie 3. SECOND DAY. Maiden Plate of 50 soys. — Martha 1, Parera 2 Handicap Hurdle Race, of 100 soys ; distance, 2£ miles Loch Loiuoud (Warren) 1, Denbigh (Hi at; in son) 2, Orient 3. Cressoy, the rider of Adventurer, was thrown mid badly hurt. This was a good race. Time, sm. 17s. VVangnnui Stake 9 Handicap, of 200 soys ; second horse to receive 30 soys out of the stakes ; third horse to save his stakes ; distance, 2 miles. — Maori, (Woods) 1, The Poet (Derritt) 2, Libeller (Du-tin)3. This was another cup race of the previous day and a splendid one all through. The horses went off at a pretty good pace to a fair start, of which The Poet had the best. A grand finish resulted in favor of Maori, who had too much left in him. with The Poet half a length away second, and Libeller third ; Refrigerator fourth. Time, 3m. 44 2-ss. Dividend, inside, £20 12s ; outside, £17 18s. Nursery Ha dicap, of 50 soys; for two-year-olds. — Parvenu (Scott) 1, Miss Puritan (Wattie) 2, Titokowaru (Hollywood) 3.
