SYDNEY MARKETS.

The N.Z.L. and M.A.C. Limited, report under date, February 26 : — Wool. — The disappointing tone of the London market, as conveyed by recent cable advices, has had a somewhat depressing effect here, and sales are only to be made by accepting from £d to f d per lb less than the rates lately ruling. As a consequence, considerable withdrawals have taken place during the past few days. Sheepskins. — We have to report an improved demand for all kinds, best selling readily at from 6d to 6|d per lb. Tallow.— A dull market. Sales at £33 for parcles of best mutton, and £31 10s for best beef. Butter. — The demand for prime New Zealand continues brisk, the range of prices being somewhat wije, viz., from lOd to 12d per lb. Second quality is, however, dull of sale at from 7d to 9d. We look for still better figures at no distant date. Oats. — Feed qualities hhve been much easier, forced sales having been made on the market as low as 2s 7d. We have, with difficultly, placed a few parcels at 3«, which, at the moment, is top price for •tout, bright feed qualities. Good

, clean, bright seed are enquired for, the - market being bare of these descriptions. f Wheat. — New South Wales grain is ! now selling at from 4s Id to 4s 3d per j bushel. Market steady. Sugars. — Heavy stock, and small sales. We have quitted Fijis at the following prices : good whites, £32 10s per ton d.p; yellows £27 per ton d.p. Malt. — Parcels from New Zealand, recently to hand, have been of inferior _ ; quality, and as English is somewhat easier, there is less inclination to speculate. We quote: superior N.Z. 7m 6d per bushel d.p; Inferior 7s per bushel.
