Wellington. February 23. I Lnery Campbell report that salt butter ■ has hoen enquired for nt 7 J and that the market is decidedly hardenin?. Cheese — nothing doing at 4',d per ll>. Hams , and bacon are without enquiry at 8d to 9d. For the new crop of oats there ha-vo been, up f,o the present, no transactions to quote, but in face of the abundant crop i v:c expect prices to rule at about 2s per bushel f.o.b at shipping ports ; old oats are source and worth 2s fid alongside wh.*iJT here. Good sorts of Melbourne onions may l>e quoted at ab>>ut ,£T per ton. Potatoes are now coming in very Ireely, and vtilues may be quoted at about 50s !to GOs per ton according to sorts. During the week there has been considerable enquiry for crossbred store sheen.
