SYDNEY MARKETS. Tbo N.Z.L; &. M.A. Company report under date, February !4: - Sheepskins. — We harp quitted cons:derable parcel* at following rates, best quality, 6d per 1b; short, 3d to 4£d. Tnilow.— This market is fairly steady as follows, best mutlon, £34 10s per tou; best beef, £32 to £33 prr ton. Oats. — Heavy arrivals from all parts ! induced a temporary "scare" amongst holders, and prices for first-class feed, dropped to 3s ; a slight recovery has, however, taken place and small sales have been effected at. the following rates, which may be regarded, as current quotations, bright heavy feed 3s 2d to 3s 3d ' per bushel ; inferior, 2s 9d to 3s per bushel. Wheat still shows a downward tendency, and sales have been made within the last few days as low as 4s Id. We soid a fair sample of N.S.W. at 4s 2d, which is full price at present. Hops. Plenty sellers but no buyers. Fungus. — 4d per 1b is still the top price obtainable. Wellington. February 21. Flour, £11 to £11 5s ; oatmeal, £11 10s to £12 ; wheat, 3s to 3s 6d ; potatoes, £4 10s to £5 per ton ; oats, 2s 3d to 2s 6d; maize, 3s 6d to 3s 9d ; cheese s£d to 6£d; hams bacon (Canterbury) B£d to lOd ; , country-cured, 6d. ; fresh butter is difficult to quit at 6d per lb ; eggs, in damnnd at Is 3d per dozen ; onions, rather limited, at £9 per ton.
