An a meeting of the Wellington Jockey Club, held last night, the secretary brought up the balance-sheet, which ■howed— Receipts, £2131 19s 9d ; expenditure, £1779 19« 4d ; balance in bank, £351 19s sd; unpaid entries and other cash assets, £11-2.6* ;. outstanding liabilities up to date, £265 2s lid. A balance of nearly £200 will be left to the credit of the Club after settling up their liabilities. Mr J. R. George congratulated the Club on its financial condition, and general regret wa« expressed at the resignation •f Mr H. Lyon, the Hon. Sec. owing to business engagements. It was resolved to present him with a gold chronometer.
