The trig survey of the native territory being rapidly proceeded with, Mr Cuzzen, the officer in charge of the party has penetrated as far as Tuhua, at the head of the Wanganui River to select, the most commanding points for stations. The natives in every instance appeared most favorably disposed, and took contract 1 * for clearing the sites, and the erection of the trig stations.
