AS the petition for the Suspension of the Counties Act in the County of Oroua is about to be presented, the Collector will attend at the undermentioned places, viz., Halcombe, Monday, February 18, at the Corporation office, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. ; Cheltenham, Wednesday, February 20th, at Mr Lewer's Store, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. ; Ashurst, Friday, February 22nd, at the Corporation office, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ; and at Palmerston North, Saturday, February 23rd, at the Manawatu Road Board office, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., after which legal proceedings will be taken without respect of persons for all rates not paid on or before the above dates, the Council having to pay off liabilities taken over from M.C.C. before Suspension takes place.
