Melbourne. February 9. The Melbourne manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand reports of the local grain market as follows : — Wheat is in fair demand at 3s lid to 3s ll^d; malting barley is steady but not in active demand at 4s to 4s 6d ; New Zealand oats, duty p;iid, are quoted at 2s 9d to Ss Id, and in request at reduced prices; New Zealand oats, I under bond, 2s 3d to 2s 9d, with market quieter and weaker.
