STOCK SALE. Halcomhe and Sherwill report.— At our sale of stock at Feilding, on Thursday, the attendance was good, and the bidding fairly brisk. Prices, however, are still in favor of the purchasers. The following are the prices realized— Beef (small), £6 7s 6d, otTered and refused ; three-year-old steers, £5 ss; two-year-old steers, £2 17s to £3 ls ; cows and calves, £2 12s 6d to £2 15s; milch cows, £2 10s to £3 ; yearlings, £1 18s ; calves, ]6s ; fat sheep." 8s 6d to lis 3d; wether hoggets, 7s 4d; ewes (aged), 6s; ewe hoggets, 7s lOd ; pigs, 17s ; hacks. £6. Cattle yarded, 200 head; sheep, 1240, nearly the whole of which were sold.

Wellington, Feb. 7. Messrs Laery and Campbell report: — Eggs are scarce and enquired for at about 7d. Hams and bacon hang heavily oa linnd ; for old cheese it is impossible to obtain a bid ; the new makes make may be quoted as worth s£d to 6d. Potatoes are coming forward very abundantly and it would be better for farmers to let them remain a little longer rather than push the market to death ; present price about £4. Oats ore scarce, we may say very scarce, and great difficulty is found in replenishing stocks at 2s 6d to 2s 7d. Fowl's wheat may be quoted as worth 2s 9d to 3s 3d ; barley tailings, unsaleble; maize, 3s 6d to 3s 9d ; bran, £4 s*; pollard, £4 10s; flour, in sacks, about £10 ss.
