— — — ♦ (FEB 'UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Chbistchubch, This Day. Mr John McLachlan and Mr Edward Wakefield were nominated at Leeston yesterday to represent Selwyn. About 150 vere present, and the proceedings were rather lively. Tbe show of hands was— For Mr Wakefield, 65; for Mr MeLachlaa, 39.
