Wanganui Education Board
The usual monthly meeting of the -■ above Board was held on Tuesday last. The appointment committee resolved, \ That Miss Wixsteed can be used as a monitor at Taonui, but she must pass tht fifth standard before she can be em- I ployed as a cadet H. Sanson's resigns- J tion of Ac Awahuri school was accepted. BesoUed, That the Board has not any nwrried teachers on ike list, nor any certificated female teachers, and therefore recommend the Awahuri Committee to < aoeept Mr Strachan at once. A letter i from the Wanganui Committee as to the } appointment of Mr Sanson to the fourth \ mastership was received, and also a letter from A. J. Seaton re further vacancy. A letter was read from the Education I Department announcing that £2,736 had had been allotted to the Wanganui Board out of the £50,000 grant. The preparation of estimates bf expenditure f• »r the ensuing year was referred to the finance committee. i
