A case of inspected robbery and murder is reported to have occurred near Ge»iong yesterday. Francis Beech, a.farmer living at I etbavel, was found to have been murdered in his house, and his wife was in a dying state. Later. j Inquiries which hnve been made i»to the circumstances under whicli the- murder of Beach and his wife were committed near Geelong yesterday have led to the belief that the crime was committed from motives of revenge and not plunder. Black trackers have been employed to trace the criminals, but no arrests have yet been made.
