Diomedes won the Wanganui Welter Weight-for-ane . Hurdle Race, beating Reform, New Qear, Dhudeen, and several other celebrated horses. He also won the Turakina Handicap Hurdle Race, beating a large field. He also ran a good third for the Wanganui Grand National Steeplechase, currying I2st. fibs., giving the winner, Ruahine, Ist. slbs., and the second horse, Dhudeen, 2st. Sibs, thereby showing that he is a weightcarrier, and has exceptionally good at yine power. Bioinedes was also awarded first prize at the Wanganui A. and P.
