IN pursuance of the provisions of the Education Act, 1877, it is hereby publicly notified that a Public Meeting of Householders of the Upper Taonui District will be held on Wednesday, 28rd January, 1884, at 7.30 p.m., at Mr Neilsen's residence, for the purpose of electing a School Committee and denning the boundaries of a School District. The Board direct that the first meeting of the School Committee shall be held at the place appointed for the election, and immediately thereafter, and at such meeting, a Chairman shall be chosen whose name shall at once be forwarded to the Board's Secretary.
