Madame Moller's Concert
The operatic and ballad concert held hj. Madam* Miller in the Town Hall wat not numerously attended, owing ' . probably in tome measure to the fact that not sufficient publicity had been given to ' it, and partly to two large private parties being held in the immediate neighborhood at the. tame time. We are. howerer, pleased to say that the comparatively small attendance is the sole qualification we hare to make in pronouncing the concert a success. The leading citizens who happened to be in town were prefeat, and the audience too might hare been much larger without being anything like so appreciative as it was. The ' ' : entertainment wat in every respect highly :aa &a>ei, and what might be styled a "'Clrawnijrroom one. and seldom has Feild- - Ing been favored with, such a rich treat of operatic melody. Madame Moller is ■'"§" singer of n» mean order, while the ■"■-"•■■ Voice, and we might add the appearance, of Miss Molier perfectly captivated the audience. The rich baritone voice of .Mr Griyi and the sjood tenor of Mr Gilbert IJ wSWdenß«re them a good reception on stay stage. The full advertised programme was' gone through, and indeed wan added ttfin order to give Miss Moller a ft-st before the last trio which was a laughing one. It is needless for us to detent* the rendering of each item in the programme, as we hardly know how to make distinctions, each one giving great satisfaction, some of them being ! r really splendidly sung, most of them meeting with warm applause, while one or two very narrowly escaped encores. The' entertainment was altogether worthy of »■ much larger patronage, which we ... . .maeerely hope may reward the company at 'other places where they are engaged ' to perform.
