General Havelock is out of the Clydesdale mare Maggie by Taieri. Taiori was bred by Donald Grant, Esq., .Kirkltinds, West Taieri, and is out of the Clydesdale inn re Gentle by < oniet. General Havelock's dam was shown in 1878 at the Marl borough Agricultural Society's Show and took first prize against all comers. General Havelock will be at the undermentioned places: — Anahuri and Feildmg on Mondays, Sandon- on Tuesdays, Oampbflllovui and Foxton <m Thursdays, and at Taonui street, Palmerston North on nturdays.
