beuteb's telegbams. Melbottbne, January 31. The nolice to-day made a raid upon magsmen and others suspected of belonging to the criminal class of this city, and arrested thirteen persons. Received January 3. 1.10 a.m. Melbourne. January 2. Sailed, this afternoon. .the Union steamship Te Anau, for the Bluff. The cricket match between the Australian team and the combined eleven of \ ustralia was resumed to-day, when the ■'■ former continued their first innings and remained in all day, scoring 619 runs with nine wickets down. The following are the scores of to-day's play :— Bonaor, run out, 2; Midwinter, caught and bowled, 9; Blackham, bowled, nil ; Alexander, caught, 50; Palmer, bowled. 5; Cooper, caught, 53 ; Boyle, not but, 40 ; Murdoch, not out, 279. Total for nine wickets, including yesterday's scores, 619. Not much interest is taken in the match and the attendance to-day is small.
