beuteb's telegbams. Sydney. Dec. 12. In the Legislative Assembly last night, on a motion for adjournment, a debate took place regarding the recent Intercolonial Convention. Much bitter feeling was expressed by various speakers towards the Victorian delegates owing to the recent speeches of the latter at Melbourne. Melboubne, December 12. Morgan has been committed for trial for the murder of the little girl Margaret Nolan, at Penmui**, near Warnambool. The Stoney Rises estate, near Colac, has been purchased by a Frenchman, for the purpose of planting a vineyard. He intends to import a number of Franco peasants to cultivate it.
