Australian tallow — Best beef, 395; best mutton, 435. The catalogue at to-day's wool sale comprised 9700 bales. The market continues firm. Wanganxti, Dec. 7. Messrs Barns & Higgie report— We are glad to be able to note an improvement in cattle, and prices of breeding cows at last are beginning to revive and cause a fair amount of competition. Beef continues to command good rates, and sheep of all classes realise good prices.
