Primitive Methodist Meeting

The quarterly meeting of the Primitive* Methodist Manawatu Circuit, was fcehl in the chnrcK at Halcombe on Monday .last, Dec. 3, when the following official*', of the church were present.; Bey. j.' Thts being the last quarterlj meeting in. the year, and the one that immediately preceedstte district meeting, a* considerable amount of business had te be gone through, but its members applying themselves earaeatlj , to the duties before then; got through their work expedit>ously,as was coiwistent with thoroughness and faithf nines* * Th» Circuit was reported to the district meet- , ing as being numerically . and apiritaaUjr prosperous, and all things, considered fairly prospeious in its finances. The total income to the quarterly boardv including total receip.s for the mission fund amounted to £71 7» lid, which sum added to what has been raised in the Circuit for trust and other purposes, would made the total amount raised during the quarter about £115. The minister bow labouring ■? in the Circuit received and accepted a> ' cordial inTitation to remain a second year. A delegate was conditionally appointed t* represent the interests of the circuit at the approaching district meeting to be , held in Dunedin. The need of giving special attention to Fettding as the head of the circuit was urged upon the meeting by the minister and it was resolved that he should give it an additional Sabbath of his own labours during the quarter. The next quarterly meeting is appointed at Feilding. After completing all its business the meeting, which was very harmonious throughout, was concluded . soon after 5 p.m., with prater by the chairman. , - ' • „ ■
