Messrs Haleombe and Sherwill held their monthly horse sale on Saturiay last, and report as follows:— The atte dance was fair but the bidding dull. Hacks were not in great demand, but a few sold at fair prices. Several medium draughts were quitted at from £10 iOs to £22 lOs. Wellington, December 1. George Thomas reports produce prices as follows : — Oats, maize, flour, wheat, bran, and pollard still without alteration; bacon and hams are advancing, prices having risen in Canterbury to B^d to lOd respectively; old potatoes, of prime quality, are being enquired for, and prices have increased to £3 10s ; chees*, in fair demand, 6_d to 6_d ; salt butter, 6d to 6|d ; fresh, 6_d to 7d ; eggs, Is 2d ; new I potatoes, l_d; gooseberries, 2£d to 3d per quart ; strawberries, 10£ d to ls ; green I peas, Is ld to ls 2d per peck ; oranges, I 10s to lis; mandarins, 12.« ; lemons, 17s; plums, 7s 6d to 8s ; fowls, 4s 3d per pair. All lines of fruit and dairy produce in I good demand.
