*- [PEB UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.] DcrsEDi--, This Day. There was capital weather for the Show yesterday, but the recent floods had prevented a good number of exhibits coming forwatd. For instance in Ayreshires Mr Gemmell, of Molieno, conld get none of his stock dowu, owing to . the washing away of the Maheno Bridge; and Mr Sutton, of Southland, also had none of his Lincoln sheep on the grounds. Mr Menlove. of Oamaru, took the principal honours in shorthorn stock, and Messrs A. and J. McFarlane in Ayreshires. Mr Monaster, of Oamaru, took the champion prizes in merino sheep. Mr John Reed, of Oamaru, took the twenty-guinea cup for the ten best sheep for refrigerating ptirposea. Messrs heid and Gray took the principal honours in implements, and there was an interesting lot of colonial manufactures and exhibits generally.
