I His Imperial Highness the Crown Prince of Germany arrived bere to-day •from Berlin, and proceeds to-night to Valencia, en route for Madrid, escorted by the German Mediterranean Naval Squadron. Alexandria, November 19. The report to hand last week that a detachment of Egyptian troops bad been attacked and routed near Souakm Port, in the Red Sea, is now fully confirmed. The troops numbered 500 and were pro* ceeding to reinforce tbe army in Soudan, when they were attacked by the rebel Hilbnen. lhe British Consul, who was with the detachment, was killed. Only 14 mea escaped. Melbotjbne, Nov. 20. The steamship airor pi. from the L Bluff has arrived at Hobart after a quick ' passage of 2 days 34 hours (?). Most of the delegates of the Annexation Conference are assembling here before proceeding to Sydney.
