Messrs Loudon and Hayhittle have offered their services as managers of two ofthe departments and tbe third will be filled by a manager as soon as a compet'-nt man can be obtain d. arid in the meantime provision will be made for the management of this department. An agreement has been entered into da'ed the Ist day ot Octobir, , 1883, between Messrs Loudon, Lewers, Thompson, and Haybittle as vendors, atid the Provisional i'irectors as purchasers for tbe sale .nni purchase of tbe good will and stocks of the several businesses of the vendors. With the proposed capital the Company will be in a position to make ' all their purchases for C A SH, thereby obtaining the trade discount. With tbe support of a numerous body of shareholders as customers the directors have every reason to hope tbat tbe business of the Companj* wiil far exceed that at present done by the four establishments which it is now proposed t<> take over. ihe Company will also he in a position to import all their wares and i goods direct from tbe best rm-nutac-turies iv England and elsewhere, thereby saving- the importers' chargres and profits, and other trade expenses. 'J he purchase and export ofproduce will also form part of the business of the Company, and it is considered that a large profit will be made from this source also.
