Another Bush Accident
■ — <» — . An accident of a rather severe character befol a yonng man named S. Straw, bridge on Tuesday evening. It appears that with some more bush hands he was as usual riding on the top of the last load of logs from the bush at Messrs Boots and 1 o's sawmill, at Makino. On turning a corner of the tramway the trolly gaye a lurch, and the men were thrown off. Strawbridge fell under one of the wheels, the flange of which inflicted a deep and most ghastly cut 'the whole len-jth of the calf of one leg-. Dr Johnston was immediately sent for who stitched up the wound, and we are glad to hear that so far, the patient is progressing favorably. This is the second severe accident the same young man has n.et with in the same bush, as some time ago he received such injury to the head that rendered hrn insensible for some days, and his recovery was for a time almost dispaired of by his friends.
